Proud Travel Moments: A Journey of Growth and Discovery

Chapter 1: A Memorable Adventure
Traveling offers incredible experiences that words often fail to encapsulate. Over the past few years, I've been fortunate enough to leave my mark on various stunning destinations. In this piece, I want to share one of my most cherished travel memories, hoping it will encourage you to reflect on your own journeys.
This isn't meant to showcase my accomplishments, but rather to share the joy I found in my travels, potentially inspiring you in the process.
In November 2018, I embarked on an unforgettable trip with my parents to Hong Kong and Korea. Just the three of us spent a delightful 16 days in these vibrant locations. While I've organized many trips before, this time, I managed every detail from start to finish.
As seasoned travelers know, planning involves numerous tasks—reserving accommodations, crafting itineraries, arranging transportation, managing currency, booking flights, and handling countless other small tasks.

I was particularly focused on getting everything right, as my parents depended on me for their safety. For instance, I wanted to ensure they wouldn’t have to walk unnecessarily long distances due to any miscalculations in transport.
Throughout the planning process, I uncovered a wealth of knowledge. Here are a few insights I gained:
- The function of an Octopus Card in Hong Kong
- Korea's reputation as a skincare haven
- The importance of using Naver Maps in Korea instead of Google Maps
This journey felt unique compared to past travels, as I was responsible for their well-being and ensuring everything went smoothly. Although I am an adult, this experience accelerated my growth and maturity. Honestly, there were times I felt a bit overwhelmed.

There was no one else to rely on; it was my responsibility to tackle any challenges that arose. Fortunately, the trip unfolded without major issues. There was just one incident I described in another article, but aside from that, everything went well. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely, and I can easily see us returning!
Takeaway
Planning your own trip is a transformative experience. If you've typically relied on guided tours or travel agencies, I encourage you to try planning a trip independently at least once! You’ll learn things you never expected.

Wishing you all the best in your travels!
