I’ve recently diverted my focus from my Medium writing to this exciting project. ☕ I had considered creating coffee mugs and even a blog centered on stroke recovery, which I might still pursue later. However, my passion for video has been longstanding!

From my early days in film and TV to becoming a video editor and producer, video editing feels like pure joy to me. At first, I was apprehensive about starting a YouTube channel, but then I read an inspiring story by Robert Ralph. His determination to achieve monetization quickly on YouTube inspired me to give it a shot. If he can do it, so can I! The YouTube Partnership Program (YPP) is similar to Medium, where you need a minimum of 100 followers.

Understanding YouTube's Requirements for Monetization

To be part of the YPP, you must meet these criteria:

• At least 1,000 subscribers
• 4,000 watch hours within the past year
• Reside in a region where the YPP is accessible
• Have a linked Google AdSense account
• Adhere to YouTube's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service

Once you fulfill these conditions, you can apply for the YPP. If accepted, you'll be able to monetize your channel.
